This wonderful author Lil Sister to a unique group of Veterans has dedicated her life to helping veterans and their families, selflessly working long hours, and conducting Interviews, took her time to tell our stories, this speaks Volumes, and raising an Eagle scout and being mom around all of it, she is an Inspiration to all of us and a great friend/family, without these books we are forgotten history, of a place never heard of, and thru her OUR STORY LIVES ON.

It has been an absolute honor, over the course of the past 6-7 years, to have spoken at length with so many of the men who served on this forgotten humanitarian service mission. Out of the thousands who served, only hundreds have been located/found/stepped up to be recognized and I have had the amazing fortune in not only taking their stories via interviews, but personally meeting many of them. Taking the stories of scores of these men has been a real eye-opener.
So many in the world have heard about, know of, or have lived with the Agent Orange issue of the Vietnam Era. Now, there are these men hoping that the government finally makes good on the promises made decades ago. Nuclear testing has been no joke. America not only stole from the indigenous Marshallese people once pristine South Pacific islands to perform nuclear testing on but also destroyed their culture with the ‘secret’ nuclear testing. Who was sent to ‘clean’ the residuals of nuclear bombs that destroyed an island nation? Why, Americas’ military, of course.
These men apparently weren’t supposed to survive this long so as to have their stories told, and many have not. But for those who remain, their stories have been and continue to be collected. Their stories deserve to be known.
