The way to get your records is to contact the dept of nuclear reduction, they changed the name so nobody can find their records if you call they will send your records. It use to be called the dept of nuclear defence.
I worked on a barge called dump site bravo before the dome was thought of, we dumped the hottest stuff we could find smack dab in the middle of the lagoon then they spent millions of dollars to seal the dome. The radioactive material is already in the ocean. Now they are spending millions talking about the dome leaking what a waste. They lied to us and they could care less about the contamination of the water. The real reason we were sent there is to study the long term effects of radiation on the clean-up crew. When men started dying they scrapped the program and went with denying what they did to us. Now we read about all the honorable people trying to figure out what to do about the dome all the while denying medical care to the men they sent to live work and play in a radioactive envirorment just because the smartest men in the world wanted to see. There is nothing honorable about the political people that sent us there or the political people denying medical care to us.
I was on all 39 islands on my first TDY from Fort Bragg to survey all islands with the DNA listing to project what equipment would be needed to move all the items listed to the island of Runit for disposal into the craters. We were a 5 person crew. (LTC. MAJ, SFC, Me and SP4). There we no protections from any elements provided. I later returned TDY assigned to the 84th Engr. I developed bone problems in the 1980’s. I read you site notes as they come out. Has anyone been able to get there information for the badges they gave us for working on the HOT side from Wright Paterson Air Force Base. I know when I departed they said the information on my reading would be there and to contact them. They have no record of anything there.
The United States government sent us there to do an impossible mission and then turned its back on the Veterans and Civilians that they sent there.
We as a American veteran signed on the dotted line to serve and protect, however pleasant or unpleasant it may be.We veterans should not have to BEG for our benefits!!!!! That our government
Promised us.
